Our first concert of the season will be taking place at 7:30 pm on Sunday, October 6 at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.

On this concert we're please to feature our principal flute, Susan Somerville, who will join us in the Bach Suite #2. This Suite ends with the famous Badinerie.

Another favourite on this concert is the last movement of the Handel Concerto Grosso.

Discover the Woodwind Quintet, a free family friendly performance featuring musicians from Oakville Chamber Orchestra!

The musicians will demonstrate their instruments: flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and French horn. They will perform a variety of pieces together and, between each, share insights about the music and the ensemble. The audience will be invited to ask questions, fostering an engaging and educational atmosphere.

The Wheel of Life and the Monster of Impermanence.

A three-movement art video with orchestra accompaniment, composed and conducted by Charles Demuynck. It had its world premiere with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra on April 23, 2023, at St. John's United Church, Oakville Ontario.
ㅤ
The Wheel of Life and the Monster of Impermanence is a thoroughly postmodern piece. All of the images that inspire it have very large, deep, rich and complicated artistic, spiritual, theological and intellectual baggage; I am taking them as pure visual material and marrying them to music.
